You shouldnt have to drill them.sst lug nuts are already 5/8 od.if you have to clean the hole up use a fir tree bit.clean the burrs.then the threads on the stud will clean up the rest,when you put them on.if you drill and tap them yourself,you better be dead on square.with the drill and tap. If i put the wheels on the car just the way they are, i know i'll never. The lugs do use washers and because of the thickness of the wheel center you either have to go with a longer lug or replace the studs with longer ones.
